Anyhow, welcome to the very first issue of The Acne Weapon! I know for some of you, this has been a long wait. Its taken some time for me to adjust to becoming a mom of two while working on my site at www.your-best-acne-treatment.com - thus my absence.
Anyhow, here I am, and as promised, I will be giving you nothing but the best, well researched information so you can make informed treatment choices for your skin.
Acne Products with Hydroquinone Could be Deadly!
Hydroquinone is a chemical compound that is commonly used as a skin lightener, especially for reducing acne marks.
What you should know, is that in 2006, the FDA proposed a ban on all over-the-counter skin treatments with hydroquinone. It was considered a potential carcinogen. A test on rats revealed it increased rates of tumors. Not only this, but numerous studies have also shown that it can lead to a disfiguring disease.
Hydroquinone has even been promoted in older acne books written by doctors! Can you imagine using a product recommended by doctors, which could potentially be lethal?
Avoid hydroquinone! Although it is effective as a lightening agent, be aware of the potential side effects! If you'd like to know about an all natural method to remove acne scars, skip down to the section on lemon juice.
This is why it’s important to do your research! And why I am committed to bringing you the best information out there!
Today’s Acne Tip:
Use Rooibos Tea Bags as Toners or Makeup Removers
Rooibos tea is naturally caffeine-free. It’s great to drink as well, and safe for pregnant women and nursing mothers.
After cleansing your skin, the tea bags work to reduce the oil on your skin. They can even remove residual makeup. After wiping your skin with the tea bags, blot your skin dry with a paper towel.
You can also use a spray bottle, which is what I do. Spray your face lightly with the tea after cleaning and blot dry.
Product Review: Lerosett – Does it really work?
Lerosett is a name that is gaining popularity on the web. Made in Sweden, it is a clay mask that you apply to your face and supposedly reduces your acne within days. From the reviews on forums that I have visited, many people are happy with the results of this all natural organic product.
However, it appears that it may take at least 3 weeks to show results. Another thing to consider is that it can get expensive to use. You pay very little for the trial supply, but be aware that you have to pay the regular price if you want to continue using the product afterwards.
Find out what others think about Lerosett. You can read about my visitors' personal reviews here.
If you’ve tried Lerosett, you can also submit your experience here.
YOUR questions answered:
Remove Scars Naturally with Lemon Juice
Question: If I pop a zit and it leaves a mark, how long will it take to go away? What can I do to make it go away faster?
Answer: First, it depends on the size of your zit and whether you popped it the right way. Find out how to pop a zit without leaving permanent scarring, click here.
Generally, once a zit has burst, either by itself or with some help, and the pimple is not deep, the mark should completely heal and fade by itself within 3 to 4 months.
To help fade any surface marks, use lemon juice. It’s a great natural and inexpensive scar treatment. Lemon juice has natural bleaching properties. Just dab some fresh lemon juice on the scar twice a day. You should see progress in 3 weeks or so. Since lemons are acidic fruits, be sure to do a test on your skin first for any possible reactions.
Well, that’s it for this month’s issue. I hope you found the information in this ezine valuable. If so, I encourage you to share it with someone you know who might enjoy it as well! Visit my site at www.your-best-acne-treatment.com.
