My cystic acne came back within 7 months of ending my six month treatment on isotretinoin. You can't tell my oil glands ever shrunk in size. While on the medication, I had clear skin for the first time since puberty. $700.00 a month for the prescription plus monthly lab and doctor office fees for monitoring was the cost and it came back full blown in seven months. Then my dermatologist said they did not want to try it again because the acne appeared hormonal..........
